SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER DELPHI

PROFILE

We are looking for an experienced highly skilled Senior Software Developer with a strong background in Delphi development.

Design, develop and maintain Windows multi-threaded database applications using Delphi, adhering to object-oriented programming principles.
Leverage DevExpress VCL, DevExpress .Net components, ADO, FireDAC to build and enhance feature-rich database applications.
Analyse and enhance existing Delphi codebase, ensuring high performance, reliability and scalability.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and triggers in Microsoft SQL server.
Perform database modelling and implement performance tuning strategies for efficient and scalable database operations.
Create and manage robust Windows services for reliable background operations.
Utilize Visual Studio 2019 and the .Net Framework 4.7 or higher to design, develop and maintain .Net applications.
Collaborate with team to gather and analyse requirements, troubleshoot issues and deliver high quality solutions.
Ensure code quality by following industry best practices, conducting code reviews and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
Demonstrate the ability to understand and modify existing Delphi codebases effectively

Delphi 10.2
DevExpress VCL 24.2 (Bars, Editors, Quantum Grid, Spread Sheet, Skins and other components).
DevExpress .Net 24.2 (Office File API).
ADODB, FireDAC.
MS SQL Server 2014 (Database Engine, Profiler, Tuning wizard).
Git.

The ideal candidate will possess at least 3 years of hands-on experience designing and programming with Delphi 10.2, as well as extensive expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, database modelling and performance optimization.

This role requires proficiency in object-oriented programming principles using Delphi, Database modelling and querying using MS SQL Server and a solid understanding of DevExpress components and Windows services.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Our client is based in Holland but also has a devision in India.

This job position is offered in India.
